Privacy policy

Personal information is information or an opinion that identifies you. Through this website we collect what you type into the enquiry form: your name, business name, email address, phone number, the kinds of sales you run, and your message.

We use it to reply to your enquiry and to talk with you about SoldTo, including a quote. We do not use it for marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

The form does not ask for sensitive information, such as health details or political opinions. Please do not include any.

This website sets no cookies, has no analytics or advertising, and loads nothing from other sites.

Netlify hosts the website. Like any host, it handles technical details of each visit, such as your IP address and browser type, so that it can deliver the pages.

Netlify also receives the enquiry form. It stores each enquiry and emails it to us, and it checks submissions for spam using a service called Akismet, so what you type into the form can be sent to Akismet.

If you follow a link to another website, that site’s own privacy policy applies. We do not control other sites.

We share your information only with the services that run this website and our email, with anyone you agree we can share it with, and where the law requires or allows it. We do not sell it. The services are:

• Netlify, which hosts this website and stores and forwards enquiry form submissions.
• Akismet, which checks form submissions for spam.
• Google, which runs the email service for hello@soldto.com.au.

Some of these services are based in the United States or run from data centres outside Australia, so your information may be stored or processed overseas.

We store your information in a way that reasonably protects it from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, change or disclosure.

We keep each enquiry for 7 years. After that we destroy it or remove anything that identifies you.

We take reasonable steps to keep the information we hold accurate and up to date. If something you sent us is wrong or has changed, tell us and we will correct it.

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and to correct it, subject to the exceptions in the Privacy Act. Write to us using the details below.

We may ask you to prove who you are first, so that your information does not go to someone else. We do not charge for a request, but we may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy.
